The MBA program

The MBA program (Master of Business Administration) is a high-level fundamental program that prepares highly qualified management personnel. Today the majority of Western top managers hold the MBA degree. It was introduced in Tatarstan 9 years ago and was adopted due to the extensive scientific basis of Kazan State Institute of Finance and Economics. The MBA program offered by Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University was developed in compliance with the State Requirements for Preparing Top Managers on the basis of the MBA program. (The requirements were approved by the Department of Education and Science in Russia on February 8, 2008.)

The MBA program of Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University was acknowledged as part of 2008,2009,2010 official selection that includes 1.000 best Business Schools worldwide. The Selection was compiled by the World Scientific Committee SMBG (France) after more than 4000 websites and a great number of publications were studied by the EDUNIVERSAL experts.

The goal of the MBA program is to form professional management personnel. To achieve this it is important for students to strengthen and develop their previous work experience in business and management, to acquire new knowledge of the functioning of organizations in modern business environment as well as to develop the competence for applying this knowledge in various business situations, including non typical ones, and train managerial abilities under permanent changes and uncertainty.

The tasks of the MBA program are the following:

  • to prepare students for the roles of leaders and reformers in their organizations;
  • to develop strategic thinking, entrepreneurial and innovating skills;
  • to develop the ability to apply their knowledge both in business and in management of complex business issues in a range of contexts;
  • to develop interpersonal and team-working skills;
  • to encourage self-management skills, lifelong learning and personal development.

The mission of the MBA program is to prepare managers of international level who possess global vision and transnational culture as well as the ability to search optimal solutions to problems in any business field. The other mission is to develop civilized entrepreneurship, effective management and business in Tatarstan and Russia.

Structurally the MBA program consists of:

- 3 cycles of disciplines:

  • Scientific basics of business and management
  • Basic professional disciplines in the field of management
  • Special disciplines (required and elective)

- 5 thematic blocks

  • Business Environment
  • Financial Management
  • Management
  • Marketing
  • International Business and Management

- integrative action-based forms of education that have expressed interfunctional character;

- forms and methods of personal and professional development.

The MBA program is implemented in compliance with license AAA № 002236 issued November 07, 2011 and the Certificate of state accreditation BB № 000214 issued February 17, 2010 by Federal Education and Science Examination Council.

Those who master the MBA program and pass final state certification successfully are conferred an additional (to higher) education diploma of the state-established format on receiving additional qualification of Master of Business Administration and joint certification of ICN Management School (Nancy, France) and of Kazan State Finance and Economics Institute as well.

Educational regulations:

Duration of training: 2 years
The beginning of study: September 2012
Form of training: full-time and part-time combined

Price of training: 450 000 rubles. Options of payment by installments are possible
